The Way to Work© is a client-centered program that provides a structured environment to help participants achieve and maintain employment, housing, financial, and family stability. HOPE’s career coaches work with participants to identify issues that lead to crisis and contribute to instability, then formulate a plan to overcome barriers to employment. In addition, HOPE helps employers and employees understand the relationship between life skills (including behavioral and social skills), job retention, and advancement.
Building an employable workforce is achieved through our Going Beyond Employees Achieving More© workforce training workshop. This series of classes educates individuals on the workplace fundamentals and expectations of their employers, including the importance of attendance, attitude, conflict resolution, critical thinking, communication, and much more.
The Way to Work also provides support for retention services to companies that hire a high number of people who have been raised in generational poverty. The Way to Work team works directly with the Executive and Mid-level managers and supervisors, providing professional development workshops and one-on-one coaching in order to increase retention. The front-line employees are also trained and work one-on-one with the coaches to become strong, productive, and dependable employees.
Understanding your Workforce© is a customized professional development training for companies’ executive, mid-level, and line supervisors to increase employee retention rates and productivity. The workshop covers topics such as learned behaviors, causes of poverty, community environment, communication and language, now-thinking, family structure, and more. Participants learn about the challenges their employees face daily and how to respond more effectively, boosting employee morale and increasing loyalty. The Way to Work’s workforce training, Going Beyond Employee’s Achieving More©, is a 16-topic workshop series educating employees on workplace fundamentals and employer expectations.
